KELLY VAZQUEZ
Hey, it’s Kelly. I have been part of the Franklin
Lakes Animal Hospital family as a technician since 2001. The treatment
area is my normal territory, providing nursing care and surgery
assistance for all the furry, feathery, or scaly members of your
family. Who would have guessed that after graduating
from the Maine College of Art with a B.F.A in Fine Arts that I
would be placing I.V. catheters and drawing blood in an animal
hospital?
I am married to a Cuban cutie and we have two children.
Unfortunately, our pack has dwindled down to 2 ½ dogs, Lulu and
Bailey; 2 ½ because our one dog Maggie, a black lab mix who has
the brain disorder called cerebellar hypoplasia, has been missing
since Dec. 08
My co-workers all tease me because I’m not much
of a morning person, juggling the kids breakfast, getting them
off to school and then I top it off with long commute to the animal
hospital but it’s all worth it! I have never worked in a place
that was so much like a second family, with many sisters, moms,
aunts, oh, and a couple of brothers, we do have some fellas’ working
here too. I hope to see you and your beloved pet here at the hospital
soon, as long as they are healthy. If they are not, please feel
confident that we will do everything within our power to make them
feel comfortable, loved, and well again.
