DONNA PONTRELLI
Hi, my name is Donna. I have worked at Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital since Valentine’s Day of 2006.
I share my home with 4 wonderful pets, 3 cats and 1 dog. Dozer is my big boy and Gus, my orange tabby. There is also my special Taz, who is my blind feline friend. He has overcome so much; his triumphs amaze me each and every day. Then of course there’s my beautiful Ruby Sue, a feisty Red Labrador who thinks it’s her job to train me! She always looks forward when I bring her to the hospital for a visit. She cannot pull me through the door fast enough! She loves to visit all of her beloved aunts and uncles at FLAH. I live in Hawthorne, NJ, and I’m very fortunate to live next door to my twin sister Gina
I am the Travel Consultant at Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. I assist in making travel arrangements for our client’s pets when they are lucky enough to vacation with their owners, whether traveling domestic or international. This became my specialty when I took the call for a family of pets and their parents traveling to England. From someone who has not well traveled, I find it very rewarding helping make a successful voyages for our client’s and pets, It’s like a little bit of me gets to travel with them.
Since I have been with FLAH I have had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in UTAH and also to Peru, through Best Friends Rapid Response Team. I have always been an animal lover and working at this hospital is my dream job! I have also been volunteering since 2001 at the R.B.A.R.I. Animal Shelter. You can find me there on my day off from the hospital.
Working at FLAH is very special to me because it gives me the opportunity to work with animals and great friends! I go home at the end of each day feeling very rewarded!
