BARBARA BYRNE
Hi there. I'm Barb.
I've been at F.L.A.H. since
2006 and I mainly work in the lab area. I help the doctors in
the room when I am needed; take care of the lab work and assist
in the pharmacy. I've been working with animals for over 20 years
and I have had various pets all my life; dogs, cats, birds, reptiles,
salt and fresh water fish.
I have two great kids. My daughter,
Meghan, is attending college. Kyle, my son, is in high school.
My children are big animal lovers too. Kyle tries to play the tough
guy act but I always find him snuggling with the dog or one of
the cats. They are only part of my pride and joy
My four legged
kids include Shammie, a little “poomaltdachpek” She’s a mix of
Miniature Poodle, Maltese, Dachshund and Pekinese which I found
out by using the Wisdom Panel Test. The Wisdom Panel Test is a
genetic test that we offer here at the hospital that identifies
the breeds that make up a mixed canine. She was rescued after being
abandoned by her previous owner – it was love at first sight! She
greets me at the end of the each day just as excited to see me
as I am to see her.
Picala & Darla are my two beautiful and wonderful
dilute tortie cats that I adopted through our hospital kitten adoption
program.
At the end of the day, all three of my four legged kids
curl up with me and I never complain about having the smallest
spot in the bed.
