Our Patients
At Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital, we see almost any animal that can walk in the door, including domestic pets (like cats and dogs,) pocket pets (like rabbits and rats,) domestic livestock (like goats and pigs,) and even exotic wildlife.

Our Facility
Our 5,400 square foot facility features five exam rooms and a large waiting room that offers the comfort of a living room environment, which helps put your pet at east. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to treat your pets with the best healthcare possible. We have two animal wards, in addition to an isolation ward as well as a wildlife ward. Our resident pets include three cats – Popeye, Jack Frost, and Gulliver – and our bird – Elmo.

Our Staff
Many of our staff members have been with us for over 10 years. Our faithful staff gets to know your pets, ensuring continuity of care. All members of our staff undergo continuing education training whether they are a pharmacy technician, a receptionist, or a surgical assistant.

Our History
Dr. Cheryl Welch started Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital in July, 1995 with the purpose of providing caring medical services for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. FLAH has grown in both physical size and number, which has allowed us to expand our hours, buy new equipment, and continue providing compassionate medical care for animals.

Our Work in the Community and Beyond
Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital is committed to serving our community in New Jersey and beyond. We strive to give back to less fortunate populations of both people and animals.
Following Hurricane Katrina, our team joined other animal rescue organizations to help treat the animals injured in the disaster. We also travel internationally to the under-served populations by neutering and vaccinating their pets and other local animals.
